Family Get-Together and Felicitation Programme of St Christopher’s Association
Mangaluru: St Christopher Association Family Get-together, as well as felicitation to distinction children programme, was held at the Rosario cultural hall on 13 August 13.
Diocesan Vicar General Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu presided over the programme. Speaking to the families Msgr Denis Prabhu expressed his feelings on “our family atmosphere”. “Our Youth after education migrate to other parts of the Country, there they fall in a relationship with people without knowing the family background, caste and culture. After marriage within a year, they apply for divorce, which is a tragedy. In the family we need to have faith, respect each other, obedience and should have a good relationship. All Children should respect their parents and help them in the household activities. Every child has to study hard and should have a goal in life”.
Msgr Moras honored 16 children who topped in SSLC, PUC, Graduation, Engineering and also honored Association members Stany Alvares for being nominated as member of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy; Sushil Noronha for being nominated as a member of National Catholic Council of India; Lancy D’Cunha for being elected as All India Catholic Union President; Anil Lobo for being elected as a Catholic Sabha Central Council president and Merwin Ivan Pinto for being best NCC Cadet.
