Family Negligence leads to death of 3-year-old child left behind in Car
Puttur: It was indeed a tragic and unfortunate death for a 3-year-old baby girl, Rahamath-the daughter of Imran and Samsheera, hailing from Ullal, when she was left behind in the car for hours. Sources reveal that Samsheera had gone to her parents home in Haradi-Puttur a few days ago as for the second delivery of her child. While she was at her parents home, her brother took Samsheera’s child along with other children in the house for a drive in his car.
After a small drive around the city, they all returned, got out of the car and entered the house. But the family didn’t realize that 3-year-old Rahamath was left behind in the car- they had assumed that all children were out of the car and back into the house. Later when they found that Rahamath was not seen anywhere inside the house, Samsheera started calling Rahamath’s name aloud, but all in vain. She then went outside and peeped into the car, to find Rahamath in the car seat in a critical state due to suffocation.
Having quickly opened the car door, the family members rushed Rahamath to a nearby hospital, but their efforts to save the child was all in vain since the doctors pronounced their child dead. Indeed a sad story! It is also learnt that Samsheera had given birth to a male baby three weeks ago. Puttur Police are investigating the case.
