Family of Four Brutally Murdered in Manjeshwar
Manjeshwar: In a tragic incident, four persons from the same family were murdered at Bayar, Paivalike here on August 3.
The deceased have been identified as Sadashiv (54), Vittal (52), Babu (50) and Revathi (58) from Bayar, Manjeshwar.
According to sources, the accused Uday is the son of the victims’ sister. It is suspected that a family dispute led to the murder of Sadashiv, Vittal, Babu, and Revathi. All the victims are brothers and sister of Uday’s mother.
Soon after the incident, locals caught the accused and handed him over to the police. The locals and the family members say that the accused is mentally unstable.
The police team led by DySP Balakrishnan reached the spot and shifted the bodies to the hospital for post-mortem.
The Manjeshwar police have arrested the accused and are investigating.
