Farewell to Teacher Ms Grace Menezes of St Aloysius Hr Primary School
Mangaluru : Mrs. Grace Menezes – the Retiring Teacher, was escorted by Rector – Rev. Fr. Dionysius Vaz SJ, Correspondent – Rev. Fr. Gerald Furtado SJ , Headmistress – Mrs. Philomena Lewis , Vice president of the PTA – Mr. Arvind K Rao , by the school band to the dais.. The programme began by invoking Gods blessings through a prayer song followed by the welcoming of the guests . Fr. Dionysius welcomed Ms Grace teacher with a sapling .
The students and staff bid farewell to their beloved teacher Smt. Grace Menezes after her 30 years of outstanding and selfless service . On behalf of the student body, Shannon and Reeshiv spoke words of appreciation about Smt. Grace Menezes. This was followed by the reading of the citation by Mrs . Josita Noronha . The retiring teacher was then felicitated by all the dignitaries on the dais with a shawl and fruits . Staff & Students offered flowers to the retiring teacher as a token of love and gratitude .
The retiring teacher expressed her deep sentiments of gratitude for the opportunity to render fruitful years of service. In his message the Rector said that Ms Grace was an Amazing Grace , a very resourceful teacher and was blessed to be a mother and as well as
teacher in this campus . He thanked Mrs. Grace Menezes for her selfless service for the institution.
Rev. Fr.Gerald Furtado SJ, said “ Life speaks of different milestones in our lives, and one of them is retirement” . He was grateful for her selfless service. The Eucharistic thanksgiving mass was offered in the school hall by Rev. Fr. Deepak D’Sa for Mrs. Grace Menezes as a blessing to this institution . This was witnessed by all the catholic students and staff .
The blessing of the newly built elevator was inaugurated by the dignitaries.This was followed by the cultural programme and vote of thanks . The entire programme was compered by the students .
