Father and Son Booked for Violation of Lockdown Guidelines During Marriage Function
Bantwal: According to the Lockdown guidelines wearing a mask, maintaining social distancing, avoiding overcrowding etc. should be strictly followed. But in Ammunje a group of youth danced to the tune of DJ at a Marriage function which was held on July 1.
The video of the marriage function was posted on the social media and the Bantwal police after verifying it, filed a case against the father and son for the violation of Lockdown guidelines.
According to the police, on July 1, there was a marriage function of Shivappa Poojary’s son Tilak Raj. During the marriage function, the organizers used loudspeakers and gathered in large numbers. The same function was video recorded and posted on social media, which went viral. During the investigations, it was confirmed that there was a total violation of Lockdown guidelines from the organizers of the marriage function.
The Bantwal police registered a case against Shivappa Poojary and his son Tilak Raj under section 269, 270 IPC and 5(1) Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Ordinance, 2020.
