Father and two children drown in pond
Kundapur: Two children and their father are suspected to have drowned in a pond when they went for a swim in Ulloor near Siddapura of Kundapur Taluk on Wednesday, May 11.
The deceased have been identified as Raghavendra Kini (40), Prakash (13) and Yogish (13), residents of Ulloor Siddapura.
According to primary reports, Prakash and Yogish had gone for a swim in the pond, which is located near their house. While they were in the pond, the two slipped into the deeper side. On hearing their cries for help, their father Raghavendra Kini jumped into the pond to save them. But all his efforts failed and he too drowned.
The bodies were recovered from the pond and sent to post-mortem. A case has been registered in the Shankernarayana police station.
