Father-daughter Riding Two-wheeler Injured in Collision
Udupi: An autorickshaw collided with a two-wheeler at Borgalgudde on Dendurkatte-Moodubelle road in which the riders were injured and hospitalised.
Laveena Alva (21) was riding her Suzuki Swish with her father Elias Alva in the pillion. They are the residents of HUDCO colony in Shivalli. As they were on their way to Moodubelle, the autorickshaw speeding from the opposite direction is said to have moved to the extreme right of the road and hit the two-wheeler.
As both got thrown to the road, Laveena was injured in her right shoulder and forehead. Elias reportedly had a fracture in the hip and has been admitted to a hospital in Manipal.
A case of speeding and negligence has been filed against the rickshaw driver at the Kaup police station.
