Father Muller Charitable Institutions Celebrates 76th Republic Day with Enthusiasm
Mangalore: Father Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI) celebrated the 76th Republic Day with great patriotism and unity near the Main Entrance at 9:00 am. The event was a tribute to the nation’s democratic spirit and the values enshrined in the Constitution of India. The management committee members along with students and all the security staff were present during the programme.
The programme commenced with an introduction by the M.C., Dr. Sweta Shanbhag, Assistant Professor, Department of Paediatrics, followed by a soulful prayer song presented by the Physiotherapy students. Dr. Sashi Kumar S., Professor at Father College of Nursing (FMCON), delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the importance of unity and patriotism.
A melodious patriotic song performed by FMCON and SON (School of Nursing) uplifted the audience’s spirits, paving the way for the main ceremony. Prof. Cynthia Santhmayor, Principal of FMC (Sp. & Hg), unfurled the National Flag as the National Anthem played, inspiring pride and reverence among attendees.
In her address, Prof. Cynthia Santhmayor highlighted the significance of Republic Day, stating, “On this 76th Republic Day, let us honor the visionaries behind our Constitution, which upholds justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity as the foundation of our democracy. As a completed puzzle depends on fixing the pieces, a strong nation relies on morally upright citizens who uphold these values in their actions. As we salute our freedom fighters and soldiers, let us pledge to transcend divisions, nurture unity, and build a prosperous, harmonious India.”
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the M.C., followed by the distribution of sweets to all attendees, adding a touch of joy and togetherness to the occasion.
