Mangaluru: Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangaluru Press Club, Fr Sylvester Lobo, Assistant Administrator, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College ( FMHMC) said, “Our Homoeopathic department of the prestigious Father Muller Charitable Institutions Mangaluru, will be organizing the 23rd Annual National Homoeopathic Conference on 27th and 28th of October 2018 at the Father Muller Convention Centre, Mangaluru. On the 33rd year of its hallowed existence, the college is celebrating the decennial year of post-graduate courses began in clinical subjects in 2008 “.

He further said, “The inaugural program will be on the 27th morning at 10.00 am and the Chief Guest for the programme will be Dr N. L. Tiwari, H’ble Member of Board of Governors, Homoeopathy, Ministry of AYUSH, New Delhi and the Guest of Honour will be Prof. Dr P. K. Sudhir, H’ble Vice Chancellor, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation, Deemed to be University, Salem, Tamil Nadu. Rev.Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions will preside over the function “.

Briefing about the Conference, Dr Shivaprasad K, Principal of FMHMC said, “The scientific session spread out over two days will be having Dr Tapas Kumar Kundu, Professor and HOD of Department of Medicine, Motiwala Homoeopathic Medical College, Nashik as the main speaker. On the second day, there will be three sessions and the first session will be taken by Dr B. Anantharaman, Alumnus, 1991 BHMS batch, who is the Homoeopathic Consultant and counseling psychologist at the Aarudraa Homoeopathic Health Care Centre and Aarudraa Homoeopathic Speciality Centre, Chennai. The second session will be taken by Dr Divya Kumar Verma, Alumnus, MD 2005 batch, Government Homoeopathic Medical Officer, Rajasthan and the third session will be taken by Dr Reju Kareem, Alumnus, 2000 BHMS batch, Director, Insight Health Care, Homoeopathic Multi-speciality and Counselling Centre, Thrissur. There will be a National Level Quiz Competition for the Interns and IV BHMS students during the conference with cash prize to be given worth Rs 30,000 “.

Dr E.S.J. Prabhu Kiran, Vice Principal, Dr G. Rajachandra, Organizing Secretary, and Dr Sowmini M, Audio-Visual & Media Committee Chairperson were present during the press meet.
