FC Barcelona include 10 B-team footballers in 1st team training
Barcelona: FC Barcelona head coach Ernesto Valverde brought in 10 players from the B-team on Monday to reinforce the first team’s preseason training here at the Joan Gamper Sports City.
Still awaiting the return of players who were on international duty at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, Monday’s first training of the day included all available Barça players except midfielder Rafinha Alcantara and forward Paco Alcacer, reports Efe.
The two exercised outside the group after having picked up some mild aches and pains in the past weeks.
Valverde is to lead two more sessions before flying to the United States on Tuesday, where Barcelona is to play three friendly matches in the International Champions Cup tournament.
The Blaugrana will take on Tottenham Hotspur on July 29, followed by AS Roma on August 1 and AC Milan on August 5.
