Fifty-Three Persons Test Positive for Coronavirus in Udupi District
Udupi: Fifty-three Coronavirus positive cases have been reported in Udupi district on July 15, taking the total number of positive cases to 1786.
Out of the 52 cases, two of them had travelled from Mumbai, two of them had travelled to Bengaluru. Sixteen persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI) and thirty-three persons contracted the virus through local persons who had tested positive for the coronavirus.
All the 53 persons are shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 401. So far, 1786 patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and five persons have succumbed to COVID-19 in the district.
