Final post-mortem Report says Shiroor Swamiji died of Liver Failure
Udupi: The KMC Doctors have submitted the final post-mortem report to the Udupi district Police on the death of Shiroor Shri Laxmivara Theertha Swamiji. According to the final report, the doctors have confirmed that the Swamiji died of liver failure.
As per the FSL report, there was no toxic substance detected. The final report stated that the Swamiji had died of chronic liver cirrhosis caused by bleeding.
The final report was prepared and submitted by the special team of doctors. The report was handed over to the investigation officer Karkala DySP, Belliyappa on September 7.
According to Udupi SP Laxman Nimbaragi, the doctors of KMC Manipal had handed over the final post-mortem report of the death of Shiroor Swamiji to the Police department. The doctors have mentioned in the report that the death of the Swamiji was unnatural, so the report was then handed over to the Kundapur AC.
It may be recalled that the Shiroor Swamiji had passed away on July 19 at the Kasturba Hospital in Manipal. The press statement issued by the Kasturba Hospital on the Swamiji’s death, the same day had said that there was “suspicion of poisoning” and the toxicological samples were sent for testing.
