Naresh said, “On March 12, our close friends Santhosh and Charan met with an accident in Ankola and died while they were returning to Mangaluru. I received a call early in the morning about their demise and went to the Canara Highschool grounds. Every Sunday we, more than 30 members play cricket at the Canara High School grounds. When we friends were talking, Bharat Kamath called me and said, “He has to talk to me regarding some issues”. Since Bharath’s brother Sanjay Kamath is my friend, I thought that he wanted to talk to me about the demise of Santhosh and Charan”.
Naresh further said, “Bharat came to the Canara Highschool and spoke about the Swamiji and said that the Swamiji should apologise for speaking against the Ayappa Swami. I was not in a situation to answer him since we were busy in arranging to bring the bodies of Santhosh and Charan from Ankola. The allegations about the threat are false, some people along with Bharat are playing a game and trying to get my conditional bail cancelled”.
