Fire Breaks out at Selection Centre on GHS Road
Mangaluru: A major fire broke out in a cloth shop near Janata Bazar at GHS Road here on September 27 morning.
The Selection Center on GHS road was gutted in the fire, the total loss is yet to be estimated.
As soon as the staff saw the smoke, the staff ran out of the shop. The fire brigade was informed and they rushed the spot to douse the fire.
Speaking to the mediapersons Police commissioner T R Suresh said, “On September 26 night there was heavy rain with thunder and lightning which might be one of the reasons for the fire. There could also be an electrical short circuit leading to the fire”.
The MCC commissioner and the corporator also visited the spot.
