Fire Engulfs Supreme Feeds Factory Heroor Huge Loss Estimated
Udupi: A major fire broke out at the Supreme Feeds factory on NH 66 at Heroor near Brahmavar during the wee hours of July 26 causing heavy loss. Fortunately, there were no casualties in the mishap.
According to sources, the Supreme Feeds is the leading Supplier and manufacturer of coconut oil, gingelly oil and cattle feed in the coastal district. In the wee hours of Thursday, the factory workers noticed the fire in one part of the factory and alerted the fire tenders. The firefighters immediately rushed to the spot and tried to put out the fire. Three fire tenders from Udupi, Malpe and Kundapur struggled to douse the fire.
According to the firefighters, the fire was caused by a Short-circuit. The exact loss is yet to be ascertained.
