First Chartered Flight by KSCC from Sharjah with Stranded Kannadigas Lands at MIA
Mangaluru: First Flight Charteredby KSCC brings stranded Kannadigas from Sharjah to Mangalore. Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC)(Entity registered with Community Development Authority, UAE and Govt of Dubai, UAE) is the first sports & cultural Club to arrange a charter flight to repatriate stranded Kannadigas in UAE landed at the Mangalore International Airport at 11:00 am on Sunday, June 21.
The Air Arabia flight with 173 passengers took off from Sharjah international airport around 6:00 am (UAE Time). The flight had 29 pregnant women, 16 children, five infants, senior citizens, people with medical emergencies, those who have lost jobs, stranded visit visa holders, and those who had reported death in their families.
KSCC Manager Shafi said that all the legal procedures were carried out smoothly, the Charter flight was arranged only for the stranded Kannadigas.
KSCC had set up a help desk to finalize the list of passengers, given Discounted ticket fare for needy passengers who could not afford the full repatriation cost, Free PPE kits were distributed to all the passengers along with snacks.
Meanwhile, Rapid test for Covid-19 was conducted before departure & mandatory quarantine for all the passengers was arranged accordingly in 3 hotels in Mangaluru for a period of seven days.
KSCC officials Shafi, Althaf, Javed, Naseer & Volunteers were present at the airport during the time of departure for passengers’ hospitality & support.

Well done Kscc. Myself with family travelled in this flight. Great arrangements and coordinations from Kscc members. Complete set of PPE kit provided by Kscc, its veryusful in the flight to avoid any transmission. I have registered in the indian counslate site on the first day of registration open. But no reaponse at all, also I have tried different sources to get seat. Finally we got in this Kscc charted flight. Really we thankful to kscc members and leader who spent lots of efforts to arrange.
