Speaking to Team Mangalorean the composer of the love song “Yeh Cheduva”, Sandeep Siddi said, “The song is based on a break-up of relationship between me and my girl friend. We were in love for the last two months, but unfortunately due to the objection by the girl’s parents of our relationship, we both broke up. Now I have decided to concentrate fully on my studies, get a good job, and then only look for a new relationship with a girl of my choice”. The Rap song was released by chief guest of the occasion former MLA J R Lobo, along with other dignitaries on the dais namely- Fr John Fernandes, Austin Peris, Roy Castelino, Ms Helen Mascarenhas and Richard Rodrigues, all benefators; and Louis Pinto- Mandd Sobhan president.

Addressing the audience J R Lobo said, “It is nice to note that Mandd Sobhann is organizing its 208th Monthly Theatre, thereby giving a opportunity for the youth and adults to unleash their hidden talents in Konkani music and art. Mandd Sobhann has been an instrument in promoting the culture and traditions of Konkani language. We need to compliment all the dedicated and committed people behind this venture. But sadly, these days we see our youngsters showing less interest towards Konkani art and culture. My humble request to our Konkani community-“Come, let’s preserve, promote and enrich our language and culture, and gift it to our children as a precious heritage, so that they might do the same”. Long live Konkani!”.
