Fish selling federation’s Banking sector opens in Malpe
Udupi: The newly started Malpe branch banking sector of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district co-operative fish selling federation was inaugurated at the Malpe Port building here on January 24.
Raghupathi Bhat former MLA of Udupi inaugurated the bank by lighting the lamp and said that the Fish federation is running on profit because of loyalty and service. Earlier the Mathsyashray Schemes for Fishermen were implemented through the federation but today it is being implemented through the state government and does not reach the real beneficiaries. Today the Fish selling federation has brought the banking service to Malpe and it will grow to the highest level in the banking sector, he added.
Fish federation president Yaspal Suvarna presided over the function. Raghupathi Bhat inaugurated the Locker room while Dr G Shankar released the deposit bonds. Dinakar Babu President Udupi ZP released the E-Stamping service.
Meritorious students, Prajna, Kavyshri, Lavanya Salian and Veeraj B were felicitated by the dignitaries.
