Fish Trade in Bunder Suspended from June 24
Mangaluru: “Many labourers who work in the old port, as well as the fish traders, are suffering from fever, cough, and cold. In this regard all the businesses at the old port, Bunder will be suspended from June 24”, said the Fresh Fish dealers and Commission Agents Association on June 23.
The president of the association K Ashraf said, “Many traders, as well as labourers who work in the Bunder area, are suffering from fever, cough, and cold. Many have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. So the association has decided to suspend all activities for ten days from June 24.”
Ashraf also requested the Deputy Commissioner to ban illegal trading, since some traders will continue their business in Hoige Bazar, Kudroli, Bengre, Ullal – Kotepur, Farangipet, Kallapu and Maripalla. Ashraf urged the DC to ban all the fish trade in the above-mentioned areas.
