Fishing by Traditional and Country Boats to Begin on April 12 – Kota Srinivas Poojary
Mangaluru: “Fishing by traditional and country boats will be allowed from April 12. Based on the orders of the central government, the chief minister of Karnataka B S Yediyurappa has permitted the fishermen to use traditional and country boats for fishing”, said the district minister in-charge Kota Srinivas Poojary in a press release on April 11.
In his press statement, Kota Srinivas Poojary said, “In the coastal districts there are 14000 traditional and country boats and all these boats will start fishing from April 12”.
Poojary further said, “We need to prevent the Coronavirus from spreading further, in this regard maintaining social distance is a must. I urge all the fishermen and women to maintain social distance at all times”.
