Five Arrested in Mobile Phones and Logo of Luxury Cars Theft Case
Mangaluru: Five persons have been arrested by the Kadri police in connection with the theft of Logos of Luxury Cars and Mobile phones on July 20.
The arrested have been identified as Vishal Nayak (18) from Padavinangadi, Abhishek Poojary (18) from Padavinangadi, Abdul Sinan (25) from K C Nagar Talapady, Muhammed Sawad (28) from Bajal and Sadaktullah (30) from Suratkal.
According to police, Accused Vishal and Abhishek were traveling by bikes and stealing mobile phones of Security guards from various apartments. They were also stealing the logos of Luxury cars and trying to sell them.
The accused sold the stolen mobile phones and car logos of BMW, Jaguar and Audi to Abdul Sinan, Muhammed Sawad and Sadaktullah. The police on getting information arrested all the five and recovered 6 smartphones, 11 car logos and a Honda bike all worth Rs 1,10,000 from their possession.
Under the direction of Police commissioner T R Suresh and under the guidance of DCP Law and order Hanumantharaya, DCP Crime and Traffic Uma Prashanth and ACP Uday Nayak the operation was carried out by the Police inspector of Kadri Station Maruti G Nayak, PSI Maruti H V, staffs Venkatesh Kumble, Jayanand, Umesh Kottari, Girish Jogi, Ajith Mathew, Prashanth Shetty and Raghavendra.
