Five injured after KSRTC bus hits bridge at Kundapur

Five injured after KSRTC bus hits bridge at Kundapur

Kundapur: At least five persons including the driver of the KSRTC bus were severely injured, after the KSRTC bus hit the under construction bridge at Trasi here on September 20.

The injured have identified as Basavraj (25), a native of Shirahatti; Eshwar (25), from Badami; Jeevan (40); Veeresh (27) and Yallappa from Gadag.

According to sources, the bus was coming from Gadag to Mangaluru. At Trasi, the driver of the bus tried to overtake a truck in the process lost control and hit the bridge which was under construction. The activists of 24X7 Helpline in Gangolli responding to the call immediately reached the spot and shifted all the injured to the hospital.

A case has been registered in Gangolli police station.
