Five injured in Serial accident at Sangam Bridge Kundapur
Kundapur: Five people were critically injured in a serial accident between a car, Truck and a Tipper on the Sangam Bridge near Kundapur on Sunday, November 11.
The injured are admitted to private hospitals in Udupi and their identity is yet to be known. The car was heading towards Murdeshwar from Udupi. A speeding Tipper hit the car from behind. The car suddenly swerved across into the wrong lane and rammed into an oncoming truck.
The impact of the collision was such that the car was totally damaged. Five occupants’ of the car were trapped inside. The Locals later brought out all five occupants’ and shifted them to the hospital.
Traffic on the busy bridge was disrupted for a couple of hours. The Kundapur Traffic Police arrived to the spot and cleared the Traffic.
A case has been registered in the Kundapur Traffic Police Station.
