Five Notorious Drug Peddlers Arrested, 22 Live Bullets and 2 Pistols Seized

Mangaluru: The South Sub-division and South Anti-rowdy Squad arrested five persons in connection with drug peddling at Gurupur on August 21.

The arrested have been identified as T H Riyaz (38) from Pavoor, Usman Rafiq alias Talki Rafiq (29) from Bantwal, Abdul Rauf VS (30) from Uppala, Imtiyaz Ahamed (40) from Uppala and Hazwar (30) from Bantwal.

According to the police on August 21, at around 12 noon, on getting information that five persons were peddling drugs in a vehicle bearing registration number KL 14 V 636 passing through Gurupur Bridge. The Anti-rowdy squad got into action and stopped the vehicle at Parari junction and arrested five occupants in the car.

The police seized the Baleno car worth Rs 7lakh, Ganja worth Rs 5,500, 100 grams MDMA Crystal drug worth Rs 1.8 lakh, 2 Pistols, 22 live bullets worth Rs 1.15 lakh, 11 mobile phones worth Rs 81,000 and cash Rs 63,690 all amounting to Rs 11.45 lakh from their possession.

The main accused T H Riyaz a notorious criminal has 40 cases registered agaianst him in Kerala. He was peddling drugs from Mumbai and selling in Kerala. Warrant have been issued for him by the Payangadi and Bekal police. The second accused Usman Rafiq alias Talki Rafiq has been involved in various crimes and 7 cases have been registered against him in Kerala and Karnataka. A murder case is registered against him in the Manjeshwar police station, four months ago a case was registered against him for possession of illegal Arms. Usman was recently released on bail. On August 21, the police seized 2 loaded magazines and a pistol which Riyaz was using while selling drugs. A country pistol was also recovered from Abdul Rauf P S. Three cases are filed against Imtiyaz Ahamed in the Manjeshwar Police station and he too was involved with Riyaz in peddling drugs. Hazwar is associated witih Usman Rafiq.

All the five accused have been arrested and handed over to the Mangaluru Rural Police station for further investigations.

Under the direction of Police commissioner T R Suresh and the able guidance of DCP Law and order Hanumantharya, DCP Crime and Traffic Uma Prashanth, the operation was carried out by the Mangaluru South Sub-division ACP K Ram Rao, Mangaluru Rural Police Inspector S H Bajantri, South Sub-division Anti-rowdy squad ASI Mohan K V, Ranjan M K, Rajaram Kutathaje, Mohammed Sharif, Ravichandra, Sunil Kumar, Damodar, Sudheer Shetty, Girish Suvarna, Dayanand, Regi V M and Mahesh.

The main accused T.H. Riyaz is 38 years of age, and already has 40 felony cases, and is still roaming free to commit more crimes. He must be a very
influential and famous person in Bombay/Kerala/Karnataka – India!. Question is why are such people not done with,
