SI Manjula stopped the car for checking and found that the driver was not wearing the seat belt. While checking the vehicle, the occupants in it used foul language against the woman SI saying, “Women are fit in the kitchen. Instead of cooking at home she is standing on the road and spoiling our happiness”.
The occupants also said, “If all the youth join hands we can thrash the police on the street. We will show the media power and spoil the image of the woman SI”. The accused then interfered in the work of the police in checking other vehicles. The SI has filed a case against all the five under sections 143, 147, 353, 504 and 149 IPC.
