Flying Squad Seize Rs 1.25 lakh Unaccounted Cash on Katapadi–Shirva Road
Udupi: The flying squad officials and the police on Thursday, April 4 seized Rs 1.25 lakh cash on the Katapdi – Shirva Road ahead of the April 18 Lok Sabha elections in the district.
According to the election officials, the flying squad team intercepted a car owned by Suresh Kotian on the Katapadi – Shirva road which was carrying Rs 1,25,699. Since no valid documents were produced to prove the source of the cash, the cash was seized.
The case was later referred to the district election officials for verification of the cash. Related officials will investigate and take further action.
