FMHMCH Deralakatte holds National Seminar ‘Rubricon 19’

Mangaluru: Department of Repertory, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Deralakatte, organized a National Seminar “Rubricon 19”, at the college auditorium on July 21. Students from various Homeopathic Medical Colleges and various practitioners from all over India attended.

Dr Shivaprasad K, Principal of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College, Deralakatte, welcomed the gathering and Fr Roshan Crasta, Administrator, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, gave his message. Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions, presided over the function.

Dr Rita Chakraborty, Organizing secretary of the program, Professor and HOD, Department of Repertory, proposed vote of thanks.

The resource person for the scientific session was Dr Shashikant Tiwari. He was introduced by Dr Rakhal P, Assistant professor, department of Repertory.

The first session was, ‘Case demands repertory’, where Dr Tiwari explained how repertory plays an important role in the selection of a similimum. Dr Tiwari concluded the first session saying that the case is the one which decides the Repertory required. In the second session, he highlighted the use of Synoptic Key by Boger. He concluded calling the Synoptic Key a complete guide book for the student, teacher and prescribers. Both the sessions were highly resourceful.


The second session was followed by an open forum. Dr Srinath Rao, former Principal, and HOD, Department of Materia medica, was the moderator for this session.

The participants of the open forum, Dr Bipin T Varghese, Consultant Homoeopath, SV Homoeopathic Clinic, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, presented a paper on Uterine polyps; Dr C Rajalakshmi, Associate Professor, Department of Repertory, Vinayaka Mission Homoeopathic Medical College, Salem, presented a paper on Pressure ulcers; Dr Pamela Kundu, M.D. final year, Department of Repertory, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, presented a paper on Melasma; Dr Sr. Mable, M.D. second year, Department of Practice of Medicine, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, presented a paper on Diabetic foot ulcer and finally Dr Rita Chakraborty, professor and HOD Department of repertory, FMHMC, presented a paper on Rheumatoid arthritis.

All the participants of the open forum were later felicitated.

Around 380 delegates attended this National Seminar.
