Fr Muller Medical College (FMMC) Fest ‘Adrenaline 2018’ Kicks Off with Bunch of Activities
Mangaluru: The BIGGEST and LOUDEST Fest in the history of Fr Muller Medical College-Mangaluru named “ADRENALINE 2018”- an annual intercollegiate fest that brings together all the colleges in and around the state to an arena of healthy, intense competition kicked off with a blast of fun and activities on Wednesday 21 February 2018. The main aim of this Fest is to help students discover their hidden talents and enhance their skills. It also gave an opportunity to every single student to learn something, to create something and to be a part of something that unites all the students irrespective of their batches or their courses. All in all, ‘Adrenaline’ contributed to the renowned, truly wholesome Mullerian college experience. And ‘Adrenaline 2018’ marked the fourth run of the much-awaited event!
As the organizers/students had promised to make “Adrenaline 2k18”, more splendor and grandeur, they kept their word, because the First Day of the Fest was simply a blast, and there will be no doubts that the remaining three days will also be full of fun and frolic- and much more when the cultural, arts and sports splendor by the participants from over 50 colleges spread across the state will be unleashed on stage/ground! Cultural events with a divine display of dance and music, Literary events for, the pen sure is mightier than the sword, Fine arts, Adrenaline fuelled sports events, photography, name it and Adrenaline will have it all!
21 February 2018-Day one! What a day it has been! It literally kicked off with the nail-biting football match at the stadium. At the same time, the much-awaited quiz commenced, where the best of brains battled. The Western singing event also took place, which left the audience spellbound after each performance. The day also witnessed other events such as creative writing, face painting, instruments and comic strip.
The inaugural was an event of great splendor, made more lively by the versatile Ms. Anuradha Bhat hailing from Kudla. Anuradha Bhat is an Indian playback singer for the feature films, and she sings predominantly in Kannada language films. Bhat has recorded for over 1000 feature films under the music direction of all the prominent Kannada composers like Hamsalekha, Gurukiran, V. Harikrishna, Mano Murthy, Arjun Janya among others. She has recorded more than 5000 songs in 14 different languages for various music albums. Bhat is the recipient of Karnataka State Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the year 2012, Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer – Kannada (2015), Aryabhata International Award (2015) and many more. After the inauguration, she performed for the audience and sang in Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam and the got the whole crowd grooving.
Following the inauguration, the beat boxing and non thematic dance events saw a house full crowd cheering and dancing along! On the day 1, the event also saw three successful workshops , that the participants enjoyed, like Nirvana Fitness Workshop by NIN Suneera Mendonsa- which was an unique blend of uplifting positive music which uses theta wave technology, simple to follow Pilate’s/yoga toning exercise and rhythmic breathing to detox the body and experience the Nirvana Mind, was liked by the participants. Also the “Fitwood Workshop” by Yaaz Ibrahim, which was a fun new way of staying fit dancing to the beats of Bollywood tunes saw quite a few participants enjoying the new way to stay fit. “Belly Dance Workshop” by Nayonika featuring the popular Arabian dance form that helps in straightening the spine and the legs, attracted large participants.
Even the foodaholics out there did not miss the opportunity to show their might with every bite at the eating competition. And with some exciting workshops, fitness, belly dance, conducted by well renowned, and handpicked of the best-the Day one, was a wrap! And Day two awaits with much more, where “Fitwood Workshop” also continues today (22 Feb); “Photography Workshop” by Pro Photographer Preetham Denzil D’souza on 22 and 23 February; and “Personal Makeup and Hairstyling Workshop” by makeup artist Saviona on 23 Feb.
And DO.NOT.MISS the pro shows, dance to the beat and lose yourself at the DJ night by DJ Clinton on 23 rd night at 7.30 pm, and – wait for it- A band performance by “Clown with a Frown” all the way from Bengaluru on 24th night at 7.30 pm.
