For Election gains BJP and Sangh Parivar trying to Create Communal Violence- SDPI
Mangaluru: “The assembly elections are nearing and the preparations are going on. At the same time the BJP and the Sangh Parivar is trying to create communal violence in Dakshina Kannada for election gains which the SDPI condemns”, said the District president of SDPI Haneef Khan Kodaje in a press meet held at hotel Woodlands here on December 29.
Addressing the mediapersons Haneef said, “Recently in Beltangady Taluk, a Muslim youth was assaulted in an issue related to a woman, at Sampya and at the State Bank Muslim youth were assaulted. There have been continuous assaults on the youth in the name of immoral policing which has created fear among the people.”
Haneef further said, “In the forthcoming elections the BJP and the Sangh Parivar are trying to divide the people and come to power. The recent incidents in Kumta and Honnavar are examples of creating communal violence but the BJP and the Sangh Parivar have failed to get results. Now the BJP is trying to create communal violence in Dakshina Kannada with the attack on Jalil Karopadi murder accused and the stone pelting on a Mosque at Veerakamba.”
Haneef also said, “Recently MP Shobha Karandlaje had given a statement that the Dakshina Kannada district will burn. Is DK district the property of her ancestors? Why should DK district burn? What benefit will Shobha Karandlaje and the BJP get? Her statement is anti-constitutional. The false message about the Honnavar incident which was posted on twitter created communal unrest. The state government should arrest Shobha immediately for her inciting statements. If any untoward incident takes place in DK the BJP will be held responsible.”
A M Athaulla, Anand Mithabail, Iqbal Bellare and Antony P D were also present.
