“For Me Power is not important, No Compromise with SDPI in Ullal Constituency”- Minister Khader

Mangaluru: “The Urban Local Body Election results are out. I would like to congratulate all the winners and request them to work for the development of their respected wards. In Ullal constituency, we have won 13 seats and other party candidates have also won in my constituency. For me, power is not important, whoever has won in the ULB elections they should work with integrity. There is no question of joining hands with SDPI in the Ullal constituency”, said the District minister in-charge U T Khader in a press meet held at the Circuit House here on September 3.

Addressing the mediapersons U T Khader said, “After the Saudi government changed the rules, many people who are working in Saudi are facing problems. They have to quit their job or business and return back to India. We have thought of helping such people and decided to open a centre for them. Those who return from Saudi Arabia should register their names, what was their occupation in Saudi, since how many years they were in Saudi Arabia and the reason for their return. We will take all the information through the centre and help them. I have already spoken to the DC to open the centre in the DC office.”

U T Khader further said, “Poovamma from Dakshina Kannada and Dharun from Alva’s college have won gold and silver medals in the Asian games which is a proud moment for all of us. Poovamma and Dharun have brought laurels to our district, state and the country by winning the Gold and silver. I will convey my message to the CM to reward both the athletes. Poovamma and Dharun have made our country proud and it is the duty of the Central government to honour them. I will speak to the PM and the Sports minister to honour them with a suitable reward.”

When asked about the stone pelting in Kallapu after the ULB election results, Khader said, “I came to know about the incident through the media. I have already spoken to Usman Kallapu and asked him not to take the law into his hands and indulge in violence. The people of Ullal constituency have given their verdict and elected the candidates they deserve. Indulging in violence will not change the results.”
