Forest officials Trap Leopard in Alevoor GP Vice-president’s House

Udupi: A forest department team managed to trap a leopard that had entered the house of Alevoor Grama Panchayat vice president on Tuesday, August 8 morning.

According to sources, a leopard chasing a dog entered the bathroom of Jayalaxmi Hamsaraj Sanil, vice president of Alevoor Grama Panchayat. The family members who noticed that the leopard had entered the bathroom, immediately closed the door and informed the villagers and the forest department officials.

Soon the experts from the forest department rushed to the spot and rescued the leopard by placing a cage and later released it into the nearby reserve forest area.

Krishna Jatan, Dinesh Shetty, Harish Poojary and others helped the forest officials to trap the leopard.
