Former Central Minister Janardhan Poojary Tests Positive for Coronavirus
Mangaluru: The former central minister Janardhan Poojary and his wife have tested positive for coronavirus on July 5.
On July 4, the former minister’s wife was tested positive for the coronavirus. In this connection, the former minister’s throat swab was collected for test and on July 5, he was confirmed to be positive for the virus.
The former minister does not have any travel history nor has he participated in any programmes. The health officials are tracing the contacts of the former minister.
In a message, Janardhan Poojary’s elder son Santhosh has stated, “Janardhan Poojary is tested positive for the coronavirus, we have admitted him in a private hospital in Mangaluru. He has not shown any symptoms related to COVID. He is recovering, and we assure you that he will recover soon. Let us all pray for his speedy recovery”.
