Former MLA J R Lobo Flags off Dengue Awareness Campaign

Mangaluru: Former MLA J R Lobo flagged off the Dengue Awareness Campaign at Shivabagh here on August 10.

Speaking to mangalorean.com J R Lobo said, “The Dengue fever has spread in Dakshina Kannada and many have lost their lives. People are not aware of the seriousness of Dengue fever. The mosquitoes which spread dengue are breeding in our own homes. In this connection we the Congress workers have started a campaign to bring awareness among the people.”

Lobo further said, “The Congress workers will visit all the 240 wards and educate people about the Dengue mosquitos and the larvae which breed in our own homes, they breed under the fridge, Flower Pots, AC trays, Mud pots, kitchen racks, clogged kitchen and coolers etc. We need to eliminate the unnecessary collection of water in all these sources. This is a small initiative from the Congress party workers, the campaign will continue from today and every house will be visited to create awareness about Dengue and its prevention.”
