Mangaluru: A meeting of the Karnataka State Retired Police Officers’ Association was held in Bengaluru recently.
Retired superintendent of police Mitra Heraje, who hails from the district, was elected its vice president.
Heraje has had a long record as an efficient and dedicated officer while in service. He had also bagged the chief minister’s gold medal for meritorious service.
At present, he is also serving as the president of the DK District Retired Police Officers’ Welfare Association.
