Forty Coronavirus Positive Cases Reported In Udupi District

Forty Coronavirus Positive Cases Reported In Udupi District

Udupi: Forty Coronavirus positive cases have been reported in Udupi district on July 6, taking the total number of positive cases to 1362.

Out of the 40 cases, Six of them had travelled to Maharashtra, one had travelled to Telangana, two have inter-district travel history, and 18 others contracted the virus through local persons who had tested positive for the coronavirus. One person who was admitted to the hospital had Severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) while twelve cases have been categorised as ‘contacts under tracing’ in the state bulletin.

All Forty persons are shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.

The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 205. So far, 1154 patients have been discharged, and Three have succumbed to COVID-19.
