Forty-nine Persons Test Positive for Coronavirus in DK
Mangaluru: According to the state health bulletin, 49 persons have tested positive for Coronavirus in Dakshina Kannada, taking the total number of cases to 568.
Out of the 49 positive cases, 17 persons had contracted the disease from patient number 9590, and Fourteen persons had returned from Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar.
Three persons are suffering from an influenza-like illness (ILI), and four persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection. A 58-year-old man, 70-year-old woman, 32-year-old woman and two 23-year-old youths had contracted the disease from patient number 10582, 10581, 10588 and 10275 respectively.
The health officials are tracing the contacts of six others. All the forty-nine persons have been shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, 38 persons were also discharged from the hospital after recovery.
