Four RSS Workers Arrested for Assault on Kanhangad MLA
Kasaragod: Hosadurg police from the district have arrested four RSS workers for allegedly pelting stones and other materials during a victory rally of Left Democratic Front (LDF) on May 19 evening.
MLA-elect of Kanhangad E Chandrashekaran was severely injured in the hand. Other leaders, K V Krishnan, T K Ravi and A K Narayanan, were also injured in the incident.
A victory rally to celebrate the win of Chandrashekaran was in progress. The stone-pelting led to further violence.
The CCTV cameras installed at the Mavungal junction helped the police in identifying the culprits. They are M Arun (18), Rahul (18), S Sudhish (24), Babu (47), M Rajesh (30) and Balarama (24), all said to be RSS workers.
They were arrested and cases were filed against them.
