Fr Lawrence D’Souza Blesses new School Buses of Don Bosco English School Shirva
Udupi: The Long pending dream of the Management, principal and students of Don Bosco English Medium School, Shirva has become a reality as 13 new buses were blessed and inaugurated on Wednesday, June 7 at the school premises.
The formal programme began with an invocation by the school choir, Fr Stany Tauro correspondent of the Don Bosco English Medium School Shirva and also parish priest of Our Lady of Health Church welcomed the gathering.
Fr Dr Lawrence D’Souza Secretary of the Catholic Education Society Udupi Diocese recited the prayers and blessed the buses. Sathish Kamath, General Manager Syndicate Bank Regional Office inaugurated the buses by cutting the ribbon and thanked the management for associating with the bank for the loan to purchase the buses.
SS Hegde DGM Syndicate Bank, Ashok Nayak Branch Manager, Fr Mahesh D’Souza principal of the school, Fr Canute Noronha Assistant Parish Priest, Wilson D’Souza vice president, Leena Machado secretary parish pastoral council, Melwin Aranha commission director, Irene Rodrigues vice principal and others were present on the occasion.
To mark the blessing and inauguration of the school buses, sweets were distributed to the parishioners who were present at this occasion.
