Fr Muller Hospital holds Live Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery Workshop
Mangaluru: The Department of General Surgery Fr Muller Hospital conducted a Live Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery Workshop, a direct relay from GEM Hospital, Coimbatore on 19th January 2019. The main operating surgeon was Dr C. Palanivelu, a well known surgical Gastroenterologist and renowned Laparoscopic Surgeon of International repute.
The workshop began at 9:00 a.m. Dr C. Palanivelu and his team demonstrated various colorectal surgical procedures, live relay from GEM Hospital, Coimbatore. Delegates could directly interact with the operating surgeon. Senior surgeons in and around Mangalore from different medical colleges moderated the sessions.
Dr Ganesh M.K. and Dr Nagarjun Rao H.T., Surgical Gastroenterologist, coordinated the overall programme. Dr Leo Francis Tauro, Professor & HOD was the organizing chairman and Dr Rakesh Rai, Professor & Unit Head was the Organizing Secretary of the workshop.
Around 120 delegates attended the workshop. Overall it was well appreciated by the participants. The programme was compered by Dr Monalisa D’Souza and Dr Supriya Pinto, Postgraduate Resident.
