Fr. Vijay Kumar SJ (80) of Fatima Retreat House Passes Away

Mangaluru: We are sad to inform you that Fr Vijay Kumar Prabhu, SJ (80) passed away early on the morning of September 15, 2020 in Father Mullers Hospital, Mangaluru. He was staying at the Father’s Residence, Fatima Retreat House, Mangaluru

Fr Vijay K Prabhu (1940—2020) had specialised himself in the field of philosophy. He taught in St Joseph’s Seminary Mangaluru, Sacred Heart College, Shembaganur and Satya Nilayam, Chennai. He was the Dean of Philosophy, Satya Nilayam, Chennai from 1992-1996. He was the Librarian of ISI, Bengaluru from 2009-2010. He was the PCF (1999-2002) and Provincial of Karnataka Province (2004-2009).

There will not be a Funeral Mass. The burial service will be in Jeppu Cemetery today (September 15) at 3.30 PM. Due to the COVID restrictions only a few will be attending the burial service.
