Freedom has its life in the Hearts…St Agnes Special School Celebrate I-Day

“Freedom has its life in the hearts, the actions, the spirit of men and so it must be daily earned and refreshed – else like a flower cut from its life- giving roots, it will wither and die”

Mangaluru: Its indeed a day of Joy and gratitude to God as we bow our heads and salute our National flag and thank God for the freedom which we have received 70 years ago. Yes the staff, students of St. Agnes Special school-Bendore-Mangaluru saluted our nation through the hoisting of the flag by Captain Vasanth K. an ex service man who served our great County for 28 long years in the military. He has many privileges to his credit and one among them is the pride being a part of Kargil war.

After the flag hoisting, our special children depicted their patriotism through songs, and dances which brought out beautifully the story of our Free India. Our student Carol welcomed the gathering and Nigma gave a meaningful speech on Independence Day. The chief guest in his message shared his contribution to the nation and invited all present to do their best to make India a better place to live in. Then followed the programme of Teacher trainees for Special Education, who enacted the life of Bhagath Singh and saluted our Nation through a dance. The whole programme was a tribute to the Nation.

The joint secretary, Sr. Maria Anita, PTA president Mrs. Irine Pinto and many parents witnessed this programme along with the Principal Sr. Shruthi. Long live our Country. Jai Hind
