Gangolli Parishioners observe Confraternity Sunday with procession of Statue of Immaculate Conception
Kundapur: As an integral part of the Inauguration and Blessing of the newly-built Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church Gangolli, the pilgrim statue of the Immaculate Conception which was on a spiritual journey to different Wards of the parish culminated with the celebration of Confraternity Sunday on May 14.
The Spiritual Journey culminated with a grand vehicle procession from St Joseph Vaz Chapel Kannadkudru to the Church. The Ceremonial Grand Vehicle procession was flagged off by garlanding the statue by Fr Anil D’Souza Dean of Kundapur Deanery.
The procession passed with more than 100 bikes and other vehicles through Kannadkudru- Moovathmudi Cross-Hemmadi-Mullikatte-Trasi and culminated at the Gangolli Church.
The Statue completed its journey in all the Wards of the parish. Various activities were held during the week.
After the procession Solemn mass was offered by Fr Anil D’Souza along with Fr Albert Crasta Parish Preist of the church.
In his homily, Fr Anil stressed upon the parish family. Giving the analogy of cooperation and coordination of different parts of the body. All the members of the community should cooperate and work to build a strong and united parish family, he added.
