Ganja Peddler arrested in Laxmindranagar
Udupi: The District crime branch police succeeded in arresting a ganja peddler and seized 3.546 grams of ganja from his possession on Thursday, August 3.
The arrested has been identified as Rahul Ranjan (26), native of Patna, Bihar.
On a tip-off, the police team led by Rathna Kumar arrested Rahul in front of the Greenvalley Apartment Laxmindranagar near Manipal, where he was allegedly trying to sell Ganja.
The police seized 3.546 grams of ganja worth Rs 80000, Hand Set, Cash Rs 4,400 and a motorbike from the accused. The accused was produced before the court, which remanded him in judicial custody.
Under the direction of K T Balakrishna SP Udupi, the team led by Rathna Kumar DCB, ASI Keshav Gowda, Shridhar, Umesh Jogi, Sathish, Pradeep Shetty, Raghavendra, Santhosh Kharvi, Krishnaprasad, Prasanna Salian, Sanjay, Naveen and Jeevan carried out the operation.
