Ganja Peddling – Two including Engineering Student Arrested
Mangaluru: The Bajpe police arrested two persons including an engineering student near IT park Ganjimatt here on June 2.
The arrested have been identified as Muhammed Ashwad (23) an engineering student from Kasargod and Ajmal (20) from Batrakere Malali.
According to police, on June 2, on getting information about Ganja peddling near IT park, the Bajpe police raided the spot and arrested two youth. Seeing the police, two of the drug peddlers fled from the spot.
The Bajpe police have seized 10 packs of Ganja, a motorbike and a scooter all worth Rs 61,500 from their possession. It is learnt that the arrested Ashwad had purchased Ganja from the peddlers.
The accused have been produced before the court and remanded to Judicial custody.
