Gas tanker overturns in Udyavar
Udupi: A LPG tanker overturned on NH 66 at Balaipade Junction near Udyavar here on July 3.
According to the police, the tanker belonging to the Indian Oil was on its way to Mangaluru from Mumbai. The driver of the tanker lost control over the vehicle after taking a turn at the Balaipade Junction resulting in the tanker to overturn. The driver was injured in the incident.
The police also said that there was no leakage of gas. As a precautionary measure, the police have diverted the traffic from the Udupi – Mangaluru road and also those vehicles coming into the city for some time. Fire and Emergency Services personnel have been deputed at the spot.
