Gas Tanker Rolls into Kumaradhara River at Udane
Uppinangady: A Gas laden tanker plying from Mangaluru to Bengaluru lost control and fell into the Kumaradhara River at Udane, here on August 9.
According to the police, the gas tanker which was plying from Mangaluru to Bengaluru lost control at the bridge and fell into the river. When the tanker fell in the river the lid of the tanker opened and the gas started to leak and spread in the water.
Puttur ACP Rishyanth advised the people not to use the water for some time as the gas from the tanker has mixed with the water and is being carried along the Kumaradhara river.
The police and the fire brigade from Mangaluru and Puttur have rushed to the spot and are taking preventive measures to deal with the situation.
