Gaurish commits suicide after Elder Brother dies of heart attack
Mangaluru: A man committed suicide by jumping into the river Netravati after his elder brother’s death on September 1.
The deceased has been identified as Gaurish (35), a resident of Attavar.
According to police, Gaurish and his elder brother Akesh (37), were living in a rented house in Attavar. On August 30 night, Akesh died of cardiac arrest. After coming to know of his brother Akesh’s death, Gaurish said that he too wanted to die since he could not bear the demise of his brother and left the house.
On August 31, Gaurish’s bike was traced at the Netravati bridge, Ullal. After tracing the bike on the Netravati Bridge, the police and the fire service personnel searched for Gaurish. On September 1, Gaurish’s body was recovered on the Panambur seashore.
The body of Akesh was shifted to the hospital morgue in Attavar and the family members were waiting for cremation as there was no clue of Gaurish for two days.
Gaurish was running a tyre puncture shop in Attavar. The Pandeshwar police have registered a case.
