Speaking to Team Mangalorean, Dilraj Alva said,” Earlier I had come up with initiatives bringing awareness on Environment, Saving Precious Water, and also support to include Tulu language in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution. And this time, as I see the drug addiction is rampant, I took up the initiative by creating awareness on drugs, and also on online betting which is also on the rise, and youngsters are getting hooked on it. This is not my first time that I am doing this, for the past six years”.
“My message to the youth is that “Do not take any pills or medicines of unknown source or without prescription, even if it is from your closest friends. Narcotics are the main cause of delinquency and crime, so beware of them. Avoid any financial temptation from drug traffickers as their money is illicit. Accidents on the road are linked to use of drugs and alcohol. Using drugs and psychotropic substances are more lethal for those who start them at an early age.” I only hope the messages on the bus will spread and bring attention to the government to take action and stop drug trade and drug consumption” added Dilraj.
