Get Ready to View Annular Solar Eclipse on Sunday, 21 June
Mangaluru : Amateur Astronomers’ Association, Mangaluru- On the occasion of Annular Solar Eclipse visible from different parts of the world, including some parts of North India on Sunday 21-06-2020, Partial Solar Eclipse will be visible from our place. This phenomenon will be visible from 10:04 hrs to 13:21 hrs in and around Mangaluru with a maximum obscuration of 51.3%.
As arrangements for viewing the Eclipse in the open public cannot be done, Prof. Jayantha H (Ph.: 8277021241) of Amateur Astronomers’ Association, Mangaluru, suggests that those who are interested may watch the Eclipse by only using the Solar Eclipse Goggles, either from your homes/apartments or anywhere else.

Aid without Religion Trust
We have decided to have a small eclipse viewing program on the 21st June, 2020 at 10.30 am. outside the premises of the Mangaluru City Corporation swimming pool. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the group will be small and confined to a few of our member families. But the message has to be conveyed that eclipses are natural phenomenon and nothing to be afraid of. So, we request you to kindly make it convenient to attend.

I trust that using industrial strength disinfectants would make a hotel smell more like a hospital. Of course, it’s a necessary precaution, but just wondering how many people can truly enjoy a good meal in such heavily disinfected environments, specially with a mask around their mouth.
