Getting ONLY 600 Votes, Huccha Venkat’s Dream of becoming PM Shattered!

Getting ONLY 600-700 Votes in the Assembly Election as a Candidate in Raja Rajeshwari Nagar Constituency-Bengaluru, Huccha Venkat’s Dream of becoming Prime Minister Shattered!

Mangaluru : At least now it’s a sigh of relief for PM Narendra Modi, that he has one person less to worry about, who would have competed against him to take over his PM post- and we are talking about Controversial Actor-director-singer Huccha Venkat, who shot to fame after his stint Kannada “Bigg Boss”, who had contested in the Assembly Election as a Independent Candidate from Raja Rajeshwari Nagar- Bengaluru, but lost miserably by getting only 600-700 votes- which were way less than the 2000 NOTA votes, which resulted also in losing his deposit.

Congress candidate Muniratna has won from Raja Rajeshwari Nagar assembly constituency by a huge margin of over 25,000 votes against the BJP candidate Muniraju Gowda, while in the last voting counts Huccha Venkat had got only around 600 votes. In the final tally, Muniratna garnered 1,08,064 votes while Muniraju polled 82,572 votes, and JD(S) came third with 60,360 votes. Huccha Venkat who has been a regular at the Press Club, either promoting his upcoming movie “Dictator” which is still being shot, and prior to the election date, addressing the media persons had said that he would contest in the forthcoming assembly election from the Raja Rajeshwari Nagar {R R Nagar} Constituency in Bengalurua as a Independent Candidate.

Addressing the media persons during a press meet at Mangalore Press Club, Huccha had said ” I am saddened by the living conditions of people in rural areas and the financially backward in urban centres, and so I decided to contest in the upcoming elections as an independent from R R Nagar constituency in Bengaluru. I am not offering any money from Rs 500-2000, nor would give free pressure/rice cooker or liquor bottle or saree etc, to gain votes. And one thing for sure I will not fold hands or seek votes with door-to-door campaigns, nor will I give out freebies, but people can vote for me if they want to, just looking at my nature, my love for the community and my hard work. If people have faith in me, they can vote for me, if not it’s okay, I won’t mind. But remember that if you don’t vote for me, I am not the loser, You will be the loser for not voting and making me your representative”.

He further went on to say, “I am living a simple life, not like other MLA and politicians who live a lavish life on others cost, I mean to say citizens money, and spend enormous on election campaign. While they eat Chicken Kabab or Kalmi Kabab, I still eat my regular food of Chitranna or Bisibele bath. I am common man trying my best to work and fight for a common man. I would rather prefer losing than winning by unethical means. I am quite sure about what needs to be done for the good of a constituency. If people have trust and faith, they will elect me as their next representative or MLA. I have full hopes that I’ll win in this assembly election. This is my first step towards becoming the Prime Minister. Once I win this election and become a MLA or a MP, I am confident that someday I will be the PM, and if I become the PM, I would ensure that women wear only sarees or salwars on the streets, and not tight fit Western outwear”.

Well said by “Huccha”, but unfortunately whatever he said, anticipated and hoping for “Good Times” didn’t materialize on his part, since he lost BIG time in the RR Nagar constituency. Team Mangalorean had “Huccha”s phone number which was given to us when he had a press meet here, and today afternoon after several calls made to him, he finally answered the phone, and when asked what he has to say about his defeat and aspiration of becoming PM, he softly said, “I am not sad at all, since this was my first attempt. There will be many more chances, and I will never give up. But I am still confident that one day I will be the PM of India, believe it or not?”
